Painting For Beginners is an organised, supportive, structured art class, where you learn Malini’s seven step process to create good, strong, abstract paintings from scratch – even if you last picked up a paintbrush in primary school! This painting class is packed with content, busy and fun. You just show up with nothing but your curiosity and your lunch, as ALL materials, along with extensive notes, are provided! You are guided from the very beginning: starting with how to use a brush and how to prepare a canvas and quickly progressing on to using texture and colour, making effective compositions, and how to finish paintings…along with many more techniques to harness your creativity.
Working with acrylic paints, participants are taken, step-by-step, through a process that results in several paintings by the end of the workshop. ‘Art anxiety’ is diminished, and you learn techniques you can apply over and over again, as you go on to develop your unique style.
If you are looking for a relaxed art class where you spend heaps of time left on your own to ‘explore’… then this would not be for you! Painting for Beginners is an intensive art class where you get heaps of useful, practical instruction, (no spare time!), and have loads of fun. And being a ONE DAY intensive, there is no commitment to return week after week – or buy ANY art materials, as EVERYTHING is provided!
